Happy Easter?

We Negotiate With Bombs... Lil Pete

What does it mean when fellow Christians support an unprovoked war of aggression on behalf of another country, ignoring the wanton, purposeful murder of innocent Iranians, and then pretend they know anything about the Prince of Peace on Easter?

It means you don’t know or understand the character of Jesus. You are larping.

We Negotiate With Bombs

Jesus says:

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Lil Pete says: We negotiate with bombs

It is the language of domination, retaliation, conquest and control

Enemies crushed, nations subdued, dissenters silenced.

Jesus no longer a “Peace Maker”, but now

a mascot for power, conquest and control.

War dressed up in patriotism, wrapped in Scripture,

Called righteous, our “peace through strength”,

A political war dressed up as holy.

Crosses held high while politicians demand loyalty.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Lil Pete says: We negotiate with bombs

Jesus said: Love your enemies. The government says: destroy them.

Jesus said: Blessed are the peacemakers. The government says: blessed are the war-makers.

Jesus said: Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me.

Government cages the poor, criminalizes the homeless, bombs the foreigner, and calls it security.

No mercy. Spoken in the name of the Prince of Peace.

Blasphemy baptized in nationalism.

Hijack religion to sanctify violence

the turning of the Sermon on the Mount into a war manual.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
